SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - The Sacramento Valley Conservancy invites the public to celebrate the Treasures of the Valley on Thursday, Oct. 10.

This annual event recognizes individuals and organizations who have been integral in the permanent protection of over 18,000 acres in the greater Sacramento Valley, including the Deer Creek Hills Preserve north of Rancho Murieta. Executive Director Kelly Hopkins encourages River Valley residents to attend.

“Join us as we come together to celebrate the conservation of over 1,200 acres in 2024,” she said. “Additionally, we will unveil three captivating mural installations inspired by nature and native species, scheduled to be installed in October. These murals will serve as an artistic tribute to our commitment to preserving treasures, big and small, of the Sacramento Valley.”

The evening will feature live music, libations, a silent auction and delicious food sourced from local farms and ranches. It will be held at Camp Pollock on the American River in Sacramento.
