A brief ceremony was held at the main fire station on Nov. 22 to present the check to Joe Pick, executive director of the Firefighters Burn Institute. Pick was impressed. “This speaks to the way that a small town like Wilton can come together,” he said. The Chili Cookoff was organized by the Wilton Firefighters Association, the Sacramento County 4B Council and the Wilton Community Center Nonprofit.
