6:06 p.m., While conducting patrol at Lake Calero, Patrol observed three adult males fishing along the lake. The subjects were recognized from a previous incident involving guests fishing without a resident present and without valid California fishing licenses. 

RMCSD Patrol contacted the group. One subject identified himself as a Rancho Murieta resident; however, RMCSD records did not show the subject as a listed resident, tenant or occupant. The subject stated he had recently moved into the community. The subject was operating a golf cart registered to the same residence. Patrol advised the subject to have the property owner update the resident information with the appropriate records. 

Patrol requested that all members of the group provide valid California fishing licenses. One subject provided a valid license. The other two subjects were unable to provide licenses but stated they had purchased them several days earlier. Patrol advised the subjects of Rancho Murieta fishing regulations requiring individuals over 16 years of age to possess a valid California fishing license while fishing.

Patrol attempted to contact the associated residence to verify the subject’s residency but received no answer. The subjects were advised that fishing license compliance would be checked during future contacts. No enforcement action was taken at this time

11:17 p.m., Lago Drive: Patrol responded to a noise complaint regarding loud music from a residential gathering. Upon arrival, Patrol contacted a resident associated with the  residence, who agreed to lower the music. While Patrol was on scene, a neighboring resident approached and complained about the noise. 

The resident associated with the gathering made a statement indicating an intention to confront the complainant before returning inside the residence. Patrol remained in the area to ensure the music was lowered. The music was reduced but remained audible from a nearby street. Patrol advised that if additional complaints were received, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office should be notified.

2:36 a.m., Patrol observed a vehicle at Gazebo Park after posted park hours. Patrol contacted the occupants and advised them of the violation. After contact, the group departed the area. Shortly afterward, Patrol located the same vehicle at Stonehouse Park in violation of the same park-hours rule.

8:55 p.m., RMCSD Patrol received a report of a vehicle collision involving the South Gate inner resident-lane gate arm. A review of South Gate traffic camera footage showed a newer model silver Lexus following closely behind another vehicle at a high rate of speed. The Lexus struck the gate arm and continued into Murieta South without stopping. The vehicle subsequently made a U-turn near the intersection of Murieta South Parkway and Celebrar Street and exited Murieta South in an unknown direction. South Gate LPR footage was reviewed; however, the vehicle was traveling too fast for the license plate to be clearly captured, and the vehicle could not be identified. The gate arm sustained significant damage to the mounting bracket and was rendered inoperable.

A non-resident responded to RMCSD Dispatch to report a purse belonging to her daughter as lost or possibly stolen from a nearby restaurant. The reporting party advised that the purse contained AirPods and that she was tracking their location through a mobile device. At the reporting party’s request, Patrol accompanied her to Magno Court, where the tracking information indicated the property might be located. The reporting party contacted occupants at two residences and requested permission to check the respective backyard areas. The purse was not located. The reporting party was provided with the North and South Gate telephone numbers in the event the purse was turned in to RMCSD Lost and Found. 

3:42 a.m., While on patrol, Patrol observed an adult male walking eastbound along Highway 16. The subject was described as approximately 5’6”, average build, with long hair and a beard, wearing blue jeans, a blue coat and carrying a blue backpack. Patrol staged in the RMCSD parking lot and monitored the subject due to his proximity to the South Gate entrance. Patrol contacted the subject and determined he was not a Rancho Murieta resident. The subject was advised that Rancho Murieta is a gated community and private property. The subject continued eastbound on Highway 16 and was heard yelling while walking along the roadway. Patrol subsequently staged near a vulnerable section of the perimeter fence to ensure the subject did not attempt to enter the community. 

10:54 p.m., Patrol located a group of juveniles at Gazebo Park after established park hours. The group was also observed in an area containing litter. Patrol contacted the juveniles, advised them of the park-hours violation and directed them to clean up the litter and leave the area. The group was in violation of Rule IX, Section 2-Park Hours, and citations were issued. As the group departed, one juvenile ran after a moving Toyota Tacoma and jumped into the bed of the vehicle.

5:52 p.m., A resident arrived at South Gate reporting he was lost. Patrol escorted the resident home, where he safely gained entry.
